Wedding Reception Games

Here's an example of the types of games and props we offer. They are excellent ice-breakers and allow your guests to become more involved at your parties.

Give Back The Keys

The Balloon Body Suits
This games is excellent for wedding receptions, especially when the bride and groom do not live together in the same house. The game will involve your guests at your wedding reception and will get everyone laughing and talking about the game for days.We cannot reveal the secret on the website, the game should be a surprise to the groom or the bride on the reception day. Ask us about the key game!

The Shoe Game

Walla Balla's
This is a great ice-breaker and gets everyone involved. We set two chairs back to back in the middle of the dance floor and ask the bridal party to stand about 10' in front of the chairs... brides maids/maid of honor on one side and groomsmen/best man on the other (optional).

We then ask the bride to sit in the chair facing her bridesmaids...then we have the groom remove both of the brides shoes. The groom then sits in the other chair facing his groomsmen and removes both of his shoes as well. Trade one shoe each so both the bride and groom have one of each of their bridesmaids/groomsman's shoes.

The DJ will announce "This game is to show how much the new Mr./Mrs. John and Jane Doe really know about each other... I will ask you a question and you raise the shoe that you think best fits the answer to the question... alright here's a practice question..."Right now, who has the most cash on them?"

The way the bride and groom answer the questions and the crowd's reaction is priceless and will get everyone laughing. Sometimes we will see some great hesitation faces like their really not sure, or even better when you ask a question like... "Who wears the pants in the family"... Sometimes the bride will put up her shoe, and the groom will put up his. It's hilarious. You'll get high fives, and the families laughing. We will not give you the questions in advance to prevent you from preparing for the answers, this should be spontaneous and fun. All the questions are clean and family-friendly and not intended to embarrass you or offend your guest.

Musical Chairs

Party Glow Sticks
Yes, musical chairs is fun to play at weddings--and it's even more fun when adults are involved. Give away a gift certificate as a prize or give away the head table centerpiece to the winner.

Table Centerpieces

There are many versions of games involving table centerpieces. One guest at each table pulls out a dollar, and the guests at the table pass around the dollar while there is music playing. When the music stops, whoever is holding the dollar wins the centerpiece. For a touch of class, we collect the money and let the flower girl and ring bearer split it.

Wedding Couple Trivia

A wedding couple trivia game is a great way to pass the time between music sets or while your guests are seated. Have questions about you and your new spouse written down ahead of time on cards (these can be fun or serious, but be sure to keep in mind the tolerance level of all your guests when thinking up questions). Each question should pertain to you, your spouse, or both of you: where you met, which of you had braces as a child, etc.

Your DJ, master of ceremonies, or one of your parents stand at the microphone and select a guest to answer the first question. If the guest answers correctly, he or she then steps up to the microphone to call on the next guest, and so on.
